Are you receiving calls about complaints of air quality and don’t know what to do or think it’s just mold? By taking our 16-hour Certified Indoor Air Quality course we will teach individuals the industry methods that are used in assessing buildings for conditions that cause bad IAQ. We will also explore Threshold Limit Values (TLVs), lab reports, how and where to market your new professional service and explain how to tell your client the next steps to take after the assessment is completed.  We will also give you the knowledge on how to interpret a lab report, and generally identify products that are associated with the IAQ issue. Our course is taught by instructors who have years of environmental experience and can answer your questions on the spot!

Topics Covered:

  • Biological contaminants
  • Bacterial Inspection and Testing
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s)
  • Overview of Other Indoor Air Issues

What is a webinar and how does it work?

A webinar is a live internet-based course being taught by Joseph Lyons, our instructor. This is not a prerecorded course which means you can interact with the instructor as the course is being taught. The webinar application allows you to type in questions, use a mic or computer mic. In any case, none of these audio options work for you, the application also provides a number to call in with your cell phone.

You do not need a webcam as the instructor will not be able to see you. Your screen will be split into two: The course presentation and the training room where the instructor will be teaching as if you were present in the room.

The presentation is also recorded so the student can review it 7 days after the live presentation. In most cases, we also offer the online, at your own pace, course to our students for no additional cost so they can get a better understanding before attending a live webinar or even during the webinar to better prepare for the second day.

The student will receive the password to the webinar in an email one week ahead of the course date. The email will also include a course manual, EPA Guides, and hand-outs that are given out in a live classroom. These will also be available on the webinar application or if you prefer the printed course material we can ship it to you at an additional cost. At the end of the course, there will be an online timed exam which you must complete to receive your certificate of completion. The exam does not need to be completed on the second day, but it is advised.
