Are you looking to diversify your business? Have you thought about adding Mold Assessment and testing to your services?
Are you aware that mold is present in every building and can cause health effects? Our 16-hour Certified Mold Assessor Technician course will teach individuals the industry methods that are used in assessing buildings for mold.
This course covers everything necessary to get your mold assessment business started with the best field and business practices. Upon completion of this course, the mold assessor technician will have a complete understanding of mold history/species, how to identify the conditions that promote mold growth and water intrusion, and how to collect samples using the different types of equipment covered. You will learn the steps to develop a concrete protocol that will take into account all the factors that allowed mold to grown in a home or commercial building. Using the equipment covered in this course you will then collect samples which will then be analyzed by a qualified laboratory to determine the types and amount of mold in a home or building. Based on what you assess in each site you will be able to develop a data driven report that will use to give your client a clear explanation for the mold growth. Our course will also explore how and where to market your new professional service and explain to your client the next steps to take after the consultation.

A webinar is a live internet-based course being taught by Joseph Lyons, our instructor. This is not a prerecorded course which means you can interact with the instructor as the course is being taught. The webinar application allows you to type in questions, use a mic or computer mic. In any case none of these audio options work for you, the application also provides a number to call in with your cell phone.
You do not need a webcam as the instructor will not be able to see you. Your screen will be split into two: The course presentation and the training room where the instructor will be teaching as if you were present in the room.
The presentation is also recorded so the student can review 7 days after the live presentation. In most cases, we also offer the online, at your own pace, course to our students for no additional cost so they can get a better understanding before attending a live webinar or even during the webinar to better prepare for the second day.
The student will receive the password to the webinar in an email one week ahead of the course date. The email will also include a course manual, EPA Guides, and hand-outs that are given out in a live classroom. These will also be available on the webinar application or if you prefer the printed course material we can ship it to you at an additional cost. At the end of the course there will be an online timed exam which you must complete to receive your certificate of completion. Exam does not need to be complete on the second day, but it is advised.
